“Truth is the first casualty of war” is an old saying, obviously true during the Ukraine War. I hate this war with a passion, but it’s still necessary to follow it because it reveals so much about the state of the world today, especially the regime that’s destroying my beloved America.
Fortunately, there are alternative sources to the Fake News on ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, NY Times, Bezos Post, LA Times, WS Journal and even Fox News, with one exception. These sources are “good” only for assuming what’s true is the opposite of what they “report.”
A good example of fake is this headline from the Bezos Post, “Putin’s pre-war moves against U.S. tech giants laid groundwork for crackdown on free expression. Google and Apple blinked after threats from Russian agents.”
That’s funny. For years Google, Apple, Facebook and Twitter themselves have been the biggest global censors, including during this war. They “deplatformed” Trump and so many others. Google/YouTube just deleted an interview with Trump by the Canadian Nelk Boys after it got 5 million views in 24 hours. But you can see it on Odysee.
Here are five alternatives to the Biden-MainSleaze Media-Big Tech repression. If they disappear from existing platforms, check for them on alternatives such as Gab.com, Odysee, Telegram, Bitchute, Locals, Substack, SubscribeStar, etc.
1. Antiwar.com. I started following it during Bill and Hillary Clinton’s murder of 5,000 Christian Serbs in 1999 to put the terrorist Kosovo Liberation Army in charge of Kosovo. Antiwar.com collates daily stories of war and peace from around the world, plus original reporting and commentary. Essential reading. By the way, why doesn’t America’s warmonger press report on the war in the Tigray region of Ethiopia that already has killed many thousands? What happened to Black Lives Matter?
2. Tucker Carlson is the one exception to the pro-war nonsense on Fox News. I don’t have a TV, but watch his monologues on YouTube, which for some reason has not yet censored him. It’s surprising even Fox News lets him on, although he still has the highest-watched news show on cable TV.
He keeps bringing up points I have made on this site: The war likely could have been avoided with guarantees to Russia that Ukraine never would join NATO, never would get offensive missiles that could hit Russia, never would get nuclear bombs (as Zelensky recently hinted he wanted) and would stop the Neo-Nazis from murdering another 10,00 Russians in Eastern Ukraine. Tucker also has been excellent on how it’s Biden, not Putin, who’s responsible for the sky-high gas prices and general inflation.
It's jarring contrasting Tucker’s show to Sean Hannity’s, which comes on immediately after on Fox. Hannity was a big pro-Iraq War booster 19 years ago and pushed that disaster that killed more than 4,000 American troops and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis. He should have retired in shame. Instead, he’s promoting another war, this time one not even involving U.S. troops at least directly, although possibly leading to a nuclear war.
3. ASB Military News. This is an objective military site just kicked off Twitter, now on the independent, non-censorship Gab.com site. Recent report: “Everyone who stands against the Ukrainian narrative is now a Russian agent, Propagandist, shill, etc. Those who do pay attention to military matters know what the Ukrainian government was doing to the people of Donbas since 2014. We are going to post footage from 2014 today, later on. Pretty vile stuff.”
4. Military and Foreign Affairs Network. Still on YouTube for now, it puts up a daily unbiased analysis, usually 15-20 minutes, of the situation on the ground in Ukraine.
5. The Duran. Also still up for now, this also features objective analysis, usually longer at one or two hours. The host is Alex Christoforou and the analyst usually is Alex Mercouris, a Brit with a lot of knowledge about Russia, Ukraine and the general situation. Alex keeps pointing out the Russians follow the doctrines of Clausewitz in which politics and war are interlinked. He says the Russians actually are trying to protect civilians in the cities, setting up corridors for exiles to leave, and maintaining the civilian political administration. They followed that strategy successfully in their wars in Chechnya and Syria (with proxies), and are doing it again.
