The leftist Time magazine, owned by leftist Salesforce billionaire Marc Benoiff and Mrs. Benioff, in its latest issue joined the chorus of laments over the leaderless, clueless Democrat Party.
That’s a decent cover. The phone number on the little faux tags is: 202-863-8000. It’s to Democratic Party GHQ in D.C.: democrats.org. When I clicked on it, I got this popup:
It’s obvious they’re still clueless. They’re still harping on Trump’s moves to require IDs to vote, “his executive order to disenfranchise lawful voters.” But a Gallup Poll found, boldface in original:
84% favor: Requiring all voters to provide photo identification at their voting place in order to vote. Breakdown: 98% of Republicans, 84% of independents and 67% of Democrats.
83% favor: Requiring people who are registering to vote for the first time to provide proof of citizenship.
Talk about out of touch. The poll was published last Oct. 24, just before the Nov. 5 election.
When you click through to the actual Dem home page, here’s what you see:
No men in the picture. That’s still after the New York Times reported May 25:
The prospectus for one new $20 million effort, obtained by The Times, aims to reverse the erosion of Democratic support among young men, especially online. It is code-named SAM — short for “Speaking with American Men: A Strategic Plan” — and promises investment to “study the syntax, language and content that gains attention and virality in these spaces.” It recommends buying advertisements in video games, among other things.
“Above all, we must shift from a moralizing tone,” it urges.
It’s obvious they still have no real strategy. As Ross Perot used to put it: They couldn’t organize a two-car funeral.
Just this past weekend California Democrats held their summer confab at the Anaheim Convention Center. The L.A. Times’ headline: “‘Our own doing’: California Democrats try to figure out how to win national elections again.” One top speaker was Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, last year’s VP candidate and a likely presidential candidate himself in 2028. The problem is he’s as masculine as a wet noodle.
More vigorous was Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey. So vigorous he gave a vigorous salute, eliciting this repost on X from Elon Musk:
Musk, of course, had been accused by the NYT, CNN and all the other brainwashing media of giving just such a salute, when in fact it was an enthusiastic hand gesture. Will Booker be drummed out of the Senate for having secret longings too imitate Shicklgruber? Obviously not.
Booker said: “Real change does not come from Washington. It comes from communities. It comes from the streets. The power of the people is greater than the people in power.”
He accomplished the impossible: Less exciting even than Walz.
Kamala Harris spoke by video, even though she might run for governor next year, or president in 2028. Both, please! The ostensible host, Gov. Gavin Newsom, didn’t even do that. Did he fear even his own party stalwarts would boo him for wrecking this once wonderful state? He almost certainly is running in 2028 on the platform: “California now is the world’s 4th largest economy despite my efforts to make it 140th.”
California is a one-party state. Republicans hope to do better next year. Meanwhile, there’s a mass exodus, with so many of my friends getting out of the place. Democrats attending the Anaheim Convention from other states need only go out and look around to see why: $5.50 gasoline, $1 million average price for a house, homeless everywhere. Orange County, at least, has reasonably low crime, for now. But Democrats now are a majority on the Board of Supervisors and most OC state legislators.
As with the Democrat Party, California is something people want to leave.
