Did Tucker Carlson Interview With Vladimir Putin Prevent Nuclear Holocaust?
If you haven’t already, make sure to watch Tucker Carlson’s interview yesterday with Russian President Vladimir Putin. It may well have prevented a nuclear war with Russia which would kill us all.
Here’s my summary of what Putin said:
Thank you for interviewing me, Tucker. Here’s how I look at things. Russia has a long history going back 1,200 years. The areas of the Donbas in Eastern Russia, as well as Odessa and Crimea, always have been part of Russia, and their people today still largely are Russian and want to be part of Russia, not Ukraine. We were willing to let them be part of Ukraine. We also wanted to reintegrate post-Soviet Russia back into Europe.
At the end of the Cold War, President George H.S. Bush and other Western leaders promised NATO would move “not one inch” to the East. After the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, U.S./NATO broke that promise and expanded NATO eastward several times. Finally, the West wanted to include Ukraine in NATO so it could place missiles 200 miles from Moscow and destabilize Russia. The CIA also fomented terrorism in the Caucus areas of Russia.
In 2014, the U.S. cooked up a coup in Kiev, installing the current regime. That regime started the current war by shelling Russians in the Donbas, while banning Russian language and culture throughout Ukraine. Large elements in the current Kiev regime are actual Nazis who celebrate Stepan Bandera, whose Banderists murdered tens of thousands of Russians, Poles and Jews at the end of the Second World War, which we call the Great Patriotic War, in which Russia lost 27 million dead.
This was intolerable, so we had to launch the Special Military Operation on Feb. 22, 2022, which now is progressing in our favor. We want peace, which can be achieved, first, by the U.S. ending aid to the Kiev regime. Also, we are a Christian, Russian Orthodox nation again. Read Dostoevsky to get some understanding of that. Oh, by the way, we have 6,000 nuclear weapons and if you threaten to destroy us, we will kill every last American.
If you’ve been reading this blog the past two years, you know all that already. Because I’ve been studying Russia for more than five decades and have explained it to you.
If we had sensible leaders, they immediately would start serious negotiations both to end the Ukraine War and restart nuclear arms control. But we don’t have sensible leaders.
On the same day as the interview with Putin, obviously healthy and mentally acute, America was embarrassed by a event aptly described in a Fox News headline, “Feds decline to charge elderly man with poor memory.” Special Counsel Robert Hur described President Biden as a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”
Biden then went out and gave an embarrassing press conference, in which he confused Egypt with Mexico. He said the Top Secret documents he left in his Corvette when vice president were not the same as Donald Trump keeping documents at Mar a Lago. But Trump was president and could declassify them. Whatever. Amusingly, Hur not prosecuting Biden did more damage than doing so. Because the news hook wasn’t a prosecution, but Biden’s increasing dementia – punctuated by the news conference.
Biden said his memory lapses were because the interview took place right after the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel, and he was distracted. That only made it worse because the definition of being president is: You deal with nonstop crises. As President Harry Truman famously put it: If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.
I’ve read a lot about how our presidents handled crises and negotiated with Soviet and other foreign leaders. They needed to be sharp all the time because – drum roll, please – of the nuclear weapons. Despite the carping media saying he wasn’t capable, Reagan in particular was sharp at the Reykjavik summit in 1986 with Gorbachev.
The carping media then wanted the U.S. to sell out to the Soviets. Now they want the U.S. to push Russia to launch Armageddon. And they hate Tucker because he got the interview they lusted for, but couldn’t get because they’re not real media, but fake news.
The interview included about all the questions I would have asked Putin. You can bet America’s rotten Establishment has watched it. Maybe now they will see the need for negotiations. And that Putin is serious about protecting his country from an expansionist U.S.NATO.
The problem then becomes Biden, who can’t negotiate. Replacing him with the numbskull Kamala would not be an improvement. Could Gavin Newsom somehow be slipped in over the summer? Probably not.
So the inexorable conclusion is the return of Trump.
