Democrats keep harping about how Our Democracy supposedly is threatened by the forces of “authoritarianism” in the Republican Party. On Nov. 2, President Biden gave another of his incoherent speeches claiming “MAGA Republicans” are about to usurp Our Democracy.
The media are in the act, trying to limit the damage everyone knows is coming. The NY Times’ online headline, which might be different from the story – I can’t get behind the paywall: “Stoked by Republicans, Fears of Crime Loom Large for Midterm Voters.” With two subheads: “Republican candidates are focusing on crime and public safety, but their message is rooted not so much in data or policy as in voters’ feelings of unease.” And: “The G.O.P. has bluntly blamed Democratic elected officials for a surge in violent crime in many cities that began during the pandemic and has yet to fully subside.”
So an actual sharp rise in crime isn’t the problem, but Republicans mentioning it to get votes is. The fact is this is the worst presidency and U.S. Congress ever. Consider the issues:
1. “Armageddon,” as Biden warned, from his foolish policy of going to war with Russia over Ukraine.
2. A national police state imposed on us by AG Merrick Garland and Heimat Security Boss Mayorkas. The latest: The liberal site The Intercept headlined, “TRUTH COPS
Leaked Documents Outline DHS’s Plans to Police Disinformation.” It reported, “Years of internal DHS memos, emails, and documents — obtained via leaks and an ongoing lawsuit, as well as public documents — illustrate an expansive effort by the agency to influence tech platforms.”
What’s “disinformation” for the Biden regime? Anything that disagrees with it. And let’s remember it was G.W. Bush and the Republican Congress of two decades that imposed the Heimat Security Agency on us, against the warnings of yours truly, the Fleming-era Chronicles and others. Fortunately, today’s crop of young GOP enthusiasts are better than those of back then.
3. Crime. Mentioned above.
4. Inflation. People just can’t afford Biden’s policies.
5. Lopping off children’s genitals – a Biden obsession.
6. Uncontrolled borders, letting in 2 million illegals a year.
7. Threats to bring back a national Roe v. Wade-type bill after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned that murderous decision.
8. Firing people over not getting the COVID vax, which now is acknowledge as dangerous for many people.
9. A general sense of malaise, worse than in the 1970s, that the country is moving fast in the wrong direction – toward perdition.
10. The Democrats’ obsession with the 2020 election, now two years old, and Trump followers’ questions about it. The interminable Jan. 6 Commission is the main expression of this. The only way to stop it is to dump the Dems and Liz Cheney.
In short, the country is going to hell not in a handbasket, but in a dump truck.
Of course, come next January the new Republican House and Senate will disappoint us. But there will be committees meeting to question the above-detailed madness. There will be challenges to the Biden tyranny. He will be kept busy, making it harder to impose further oppressions.
And we’ll all be looking toward 2024.
