Another Establishment mess you're supposed to fix

Once again, TheRegime got into a mess they had to get the proles to solve. Gov. DeSantis sent the illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard. TheRegime then got the National Guard to haul them to a military base. Just like TheRegime’s mess in Ukraine was solved, so far, by getting the proles in the Regular Army to transship all that expensive equipment profiting the Military Industrial Complex part of TheRegime.

Who are the proles? You and I. The middle-class Americans who join the military for patriotic reasons. Or maybe to avoid jail for hot-wiring a car. You know, the guys who died in pointless wars in Nam and Iraq and Afghanistan. So many proles have died in these losing wars TheRegime can’t directly send any more to get killed in combat.

But recruiting even for that non-combat duty is falling ever faster. The Army Times:

The Army’s second-in-command for all things training said Thursday that the service saw a 10% drop in aptitude test scores during the pandemic, and that dipped further to 13% this year. Other Army data showed that up to 70% of potential recruits interested in Army service are disqualified in the first 48 hours due to obesity, low test scores or drug use.

Previously, that disqualification rate was between 30-40%.

The challenges are big — more of the recruits can’t meet weight standards or academic standards, more are using illegal drugs or military-banned substances such as cannabis, and few know much about the Army. And what they do know isn’t flattering.

The Army will not meet its end strength goal for this fiscal year, which ends this month.

That’s for the Regular Army. For you civilians, that’s the main force. There’s also the U.S. Army Reserve and the several state National Guards, largely funded and controlled by the feds, as when they’re sent to die in pointless foreign wars. But the Guard also is available for local duty, such as helping in disasters and removing from Sanctuary areas, which are supposed to welcome illegal aliens, the unwelcome illegal aliens the hypocrites in TheRegime don’t want around, except to clean the pool at the country club.

Army Times has reported extensively on recruiting challenges and new programs, including a pilot program that takes on otherwise unqualified recruits for up to 90 days before basic training.

Those recruits work on disqualifying factors like body fat percentage and test scores.

This is a replay of Defense Secretary Robert McNamara’s “Project 100,000” started in 1966, derided at the time as “McNamara’s Morons.” Wikipedia:

The problem with dumb recruits is they can’t use the complex, dangerous equipment properly, so they get themselves, and others in their units, killed.

I was in the U.S. Army 1978-82, and can report the quality of the troops was not all that high. And we always were undermanned. Even though we also had many women in our unit, and in others. Women already were allowed in all MOS’s except combat; which now is allowed. Some called it the “Stripes Army” after the 1981 Bill Murray comedy. That year Reagan became president and recruitment rose as America once again was “standing tall.”

There is a coagulation of forces going on today. The hideous government schools can’t teach the kids enough ritin’ and rithmatic to read the Army manuals. The horrible American junk food diet makes them fat in their teens so they can’t fit in tanks or APCs when they go out to slaughter foreigners. And American life has become so nihilistic there’s no point in many of these kids’ lives except playing video games and getting high — assuming they don’t drop dead from the fentanyl epidemic.

By the way, how many of those illegals rounded up in Martha’s Vineyard will come back and sell fentanyl to the children of the island’s Rich and Sleazy? Maybe when some of TheRegime’s kids end up assuming room temperature they might do something about restoring border security.

Probably not. Their nihilist ideology won’t let them.

Meanwhile, we proles are figuring out joining the military to fight TheRegime’s wars and protecitng TheRegime’s exclusive playgrounds is a sucker’s game.
