Will Elon’s Twitter Save OurDemocracy™?
Back in the 1980s when I was in Washington, the most despised congressman, even for liberal Democrats, was Rep. Ed Markey of Massachusetts. Naturally in 2013 in a special election he was promoted to the U.S. Senate by the voters in TeddyKennedyLand.
Lately he has been threatening a congressional attack on Elon Musk’s neo-Twitter over “public health” concerns. He said, “Someone could impersonate the CDC for eight dollars, pay for it, not be authenticated and then on that site, say, ‘CDC says vaccinations are not good for you,’ That’s a public health and safety problem.”
Of course, under the recent ultra-censored Twitter, any alternative ideas about COVID-19 were censored, even though it turned out most of what the CDC told us since has been overturned, such as the origin of the virus – still not exactly known. I was hoping Dr. Rand Paul, the senator from Kentucky, was going to aggressively grill Fauci and the other bureaucrats, but the Republicans failed to take over the Senate. Instead, the new Republican House will have to attempt the job.
Markey, who sits on the Subcommittee on Communication, Media, and Broadband: “If they can impersonate Eli Lilly, the CDC, a senator from Massachusetts, then anyone could impersonate anyone they wanted to and then spew out misinformation into the public sphere. I’ve asked Elon Musk to: one, tell me what went wrong, and two, what he’s going to do to fix it.”
The real problem here is Markey himself is impersonating a senator. He always has been a censorious busybody trying to destroy Americans’ liberties.
Another enemy of our freedoms is Alexander Vindman, who tweeted, “Kinda weird that
@elonmusk gets to decide how like a half-billion people communicate. Way too much power for one erratic individual to wield, don’t you think?”
No, it’s called freedom. If Vindman doesn’t like it, he doesn’t have to use Twitter. Instead he can go to the still ultra-censored Facebook and Instagram or some other platform.
Vindman is the guy who sparked Trump’s first impeachment. As an Army colonel, he “leaked” the contents of Trump’s letter to the now too-well-known President Zelinsky, in which Trump inquired about the possible corruption of one Joe Biden. Again, I’m hoping the new Republican House will do some investigating, in particular into Hunter Biden’s laptop, and what it might have on the Biden Family’s corruption.
The ultra-censored Twitter of 2020 prevented the New York Post from posting its story about the laptop, thus effectively spiking the story and leading to the election of Biden. Which in turn led to the current Ukraine War, backed by Vindman, a native of that suffering land. Biden even has said his own polices could lead to “Armageddon.” Thank you, Vindman, for maybe getting us all nuked.
I don’t know if Elon’s actions on Twitter will save OurDemocracy™. But it certainly is fun watching the one centibillionaire of the bunch actually doing something to save our vanishing freedoms. He seems to have the intelligence and the courage to go up against the whole rotten System.
By the way, did you know he is purging the – I hate even to write it – child pornography that plagued the site? He has called doing so “Priority #1.” Why was that filth even allowed before? Why did the Biden regime allow it?
Meanwhile, the censors are upset Elon is giving “amnesty” to thousands of people kicked off because they violated the sensitivities of Fauci, Markey, the Democratic Party, Biden, or whomever.
Perhaps OurDemocracy™ is saved after all.
